Made for the PETLIBRO fountains people actually have on the kitchen floor — PLWF005, 105, 115, 106, 116 and 305. Each filter is 3.8 × 2 in, with a 1.5 × 1.18 in sponge that guards the pump, and the four layers inside deal with smell, hard water, hair and grit.
Before first use: Soak filter and sponge for 3 minutes, rinse for 30 seconds, then click them in.

Why four layers instead of one
Activated carbon takes the smell out of standing water. Ion-exchange resin softens tap water and holds on to heavy metals. A fiber-cotton layer catches the fur that every cat sheds into its bowl. The last stage is a separate sponge at the pump intake, so debris never reaches the motor — the part that usually fails first on a neglected fountain.
How often to swap
Every two weeks for one cat; sooner with two or more pets, hard water or a dog that drinks like a horse. The 50-pack covers about two years for a single-cat home.
